Safe Church Policy

Statement of Purpose:  The primary purpose of the Safe Church Policy of City Chapel is to create an environment that nurtures the physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of all children, youth, and vulnerable adults involved in church programs or functions. A second but equally important purpose is to provide accountability and protection for all persons who have contact with children, youth, and vulnerable adults.

We hope we never have to utilize most of this document. But, we wanted to make sure our policies and procedures in case of the worst case scenario were in place, for protection for all parties (victims especially). The church, at large, has been failing at this lately (for a long time really) and we wanted to get ahead of it before we needed to be playing catch up. Please feel free to read the entire document, but if you would like to see the gist of it (tl;dr if you will) we will be distilling it into a set of core values and tenants on this page in the near future.
